Virtual Appointments to Serve You Better

At The Eye Avenue, it’s our mission to provide top quality eye care to our community. Since COVID-19 has significantly impacted the way we can operate, we’ve introduced telemedicine to best serve our patients. We recognize the importance of convenience and safety, so we’ve taken the right steps to ensure our patients can source the care they need, even during unprecedented circumstances. Plus, if you typically live a busy life between a family and career, telemedicine is a great way to ensure your health is properly cared for!

Telemedicine allows us to provide quality patient care virtually. All you need is a camera and microphone (your smartphone will do!). With this service, patients can seek the answers they need from the comfort of their own home. Telemedicine appointments are effective for consultations, contact lens checks, and urgent eye problems. However, it’s important to note that a telemedicine service does not replace a comprehensive in-person eye exam.

How do Telemedicine Appointments Work?

If you’d like to take advantage of the convenience of telemedicine appointments, we’re here to help! As long as you have a working camera and microphone, we can get you set up virtually! You can use either your smartphone or computer to communicate with your optometrist.

Once you log in, the appointment will carry on as usual. You’ll have a chance to ask any questions or address any concerns you may have, at which time it might be necessary to book an in-person follow up. Telemedicine appointments can address problems like:

Please remember that telemedicine cannot replace a comprehensive in-person eye exam. If you have urgent concerns about your health or vision or need to update your prescription, please book an appointment to see us in-person.

We’re Looking Forward to Seeing You!

We’re conveniently located in the Strand offices between VAMPD and Pure Barre.
